TIME TO SHOUT OUT LOUD!

I haven't posted in a while, because, well....our life is normal, which = boring.......

But, I have something to say and I want to SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!

THERE ARE CHILDREN IN UKRAINE WHO NEED HELP!

The people who have adopted from Alex's Baby House are like a family to us.  The Mamas keep in contact and we love each other so much!

There are many families who are special to us and one special family just returned from adopting two children from the Baby House and another who had been transferred from the Baby House to an institution.  The little boy who was in the institution was in bad shape.  Since being transferred, he became withdrawn and was dehydrated and malnourished when they got home to America.

This sweet family witnessed some things that no one should ever have to witness and some things that no child should ever have to endure.  One of the children who is a target of the mistreatment is from Alex's Baby House.  He and another little boy had a family committed to them and for reasons unknown, they did not even go for their referral.  These boys have been in all our prayers, hearts and minds, but especially in one family's heart.

You see, the Enskat family adopted three precious treasures from the Baby House.  While they were at the Baby House, they witnessed Olson and Everett being transferred.  The children were crying and clinging to their nannies as the nannies pulled away, (crying themselves) and ran back into the Baby House.  The car drove away, taking the boys from the only home they had likely know.

The Enskats have committed to adopt Olson and Everett.  They need to move quickly and they need help.
Please see the link below on how you can help the Enskats bring Everett and Olson home.  This link tells more of the story and gives information as to how you can support the family.  There is an awesome give-a-way.  You can participate in the give-a-way, you can share on Facebook and your blogs or you can donate directly to their FSP.  All the details are below.

Now is not the time to be quiet.
NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOUT ABOUT THESE BOYS AND SAVE THEM!

Two Years Ago Today

I haven't blogged recently because thing have been hectic and I have a five year with a BIG ATTITUDE! We are fighting the backtalk disrespect monster. Whew!

But today is a very special day. Two years ago today, we met our son for the very first time. It will forever be on my mind and in my heart. We sat on a big black couch at the top of the stairs, waiting on the director to return from an appointment with the prosecutor. The social worker finally had to leave to return to her office and approved that we could meet our son without her presence. The director was delayed and she called and allowed us to meet our son before meeting us. The children were outside and as we opened the door to go outside, in comes a little boy, who takes off his glove, shakes Tims's hand and says in Russian, "hello. My name is Zhenya and I am three years old.". Later the director returned and we were given Zhenya's medical and social histories and learned that his middle name was Alexander. We immediately liked the name and decided that would be his new name.

Our facilitator asked if we would like a few days to decide if we would like to petition to adopt Zhenya and both said at that moment that we wanted to pursue the adoption.

Even though there have been trials and tribulations, we love our son more each day.

Alex, Daddy and Mommie love you and e are proud that you are our son.
