HOME!

We arrived home around 9 pm last night.

Our families decorated the house with balloons and banners, etc. and had a great dinner here with them.

Alex did great on the trip! He only cried a little boarding the first flight and then again on approach to Dulles because there was a little turbulence and a woman screamed and it scared him.

He got to meet cousins Justin and Jordan and they played and had a great time. He gave them both hugs and kisses when they left. Jordan didn't get his homework done, so Nanci said that she was going to write a note to his teacher that his new cousin came home and that he had a lesson on Ukrainian adoption last night! Then, he wanted to know if he can take Alex to school for show and tell! Of course, I told him I would bring him.

Well...will post more later including some photos of Alex's journey home. I have no photos from last night, but the babushka's do, so will post them when I can.

Going to try to get a nap in before Alex gets up. He woke up around 3:30 am to peeska and got scared by Chloe, our dog, so it took a while to get him settled down. He is curious about them, but scared. That will change because he was already getting close to our little PJ last night and throwing the ball over the gate to Chloe. I hope it works out soon because poor Chloe has been through so much in the past seven weeks, losing Chance, her best buddy and without us. She hates to be "caged up" in her room (mudroom).

With love from the good ol' USA!

So glad you are finally HOME!!!! Can't wait to see the new pics.
What a whole new world this must be for Alex. I bet his little mind is going at 100+ MPH all the time!!!!
That's funny about wanting to take him for show and tell. Aren't kids great!?!?
Blessings to you all.

Yeah!!! Welcome back! Now the real fun begins. Take a camera with you on your first trip to Walmart. To see the wonder and surprise in his little eyes is amazing. Enjoy the sounds of that precious little guy as he fills your home with footsteps you've been longing to hear! Sending hugs to you all!

Yay! Welcome home! Less than a week and ours went from terrified of the dog to not leaving him alone... hopefully Chloe can hold out a little longer. Wonderful to hear your trip back went smoothly! Congratualtions again!
